Bio

Philippos Kokkalis is a highly experienced freelance Focus Puller and Camera Operator with over 22 years of industry experience. He has worked on a variety of commercial projects and features in Greece, as well as documentaries and series produced by major broadcasters such as BBC, NBC, and Netflix.

Philippos has a proficiency level on all available camera systems, both film and digital, and is an expert operator of PhantomFlex4K cameras and gimbals such as Freefly Movi and DJI Ronin. He has also had the pleasure of working alongside renowned Directors of Photography (DoP's) such as Phedon Papamichael ASC,GSC and Darius Khondji ASC,AFC as well as collaborating with acclaimed directors including Cary Joji Fukunaga and Jake Scott.

During his career, Philippos has traveled extensively and taken part in projects in a variety of locations, including UAE, KSA, Qatar, Turkey, The Netherlands and Cyprus. His training includes completing the cinematography class at the Hellenic Cinema and Television School Stavrakos (HCTSS), participating in the Kodak Cinematography workshop, and completing the advanced service training for AlexaMini, AlexaLF, and Arri ECS components held in Uxbridge UK and Munich Germany by Arri.

Based in Athens, Philippos is available for work anywhere and is fluent in both Greek and English. Focused to work with and learn from some of the industry's most respected professionals is a testament to his skill and dedication to his craft.
